Right when I was getting comfortable...
Well right when I was starting to relax, I read in the local paper that there is an opportunity to facilitate parenting courses for newborns to 1 yr old (well, the parents do the course, but you get the idea). It jumped out at me and I was really excited....excited that there is a hunger to learn this kind of stuff....and I thought wow that would be cool for someone to do...then I thought maybe I could do it....so yeah, putting together a CV (not something I've had to do before!) and seeing how it works.....it's even paid!!! I would prefer to wait til Benny is a wee bit older, but we'll see.....bit scary!

New things
This year just keps getting better and better.
Some friends took us all on a boat on Sunday(yes, including Nath and Ben who I was sure was going to go flying off into the deep ;)), it's such a stunning place we live in! Some other friends brought around some crayfish which is Nika's Favourite. Why, I don't know. They taste delicious but look soooo creepy, with their big red thingys and claws. All it does is remind me of "delicacies" in other countries like pig intestines and shark fin soup.
Lifeway's students have arrived which is really exciting - I always get so excited seing them arrive, who knows what will happen in their lives if they let God in - amazing.

Wow
A long weekend this time and some friends took us and the boys on their first boat trip. Nath cried, no, screamed! the whole way to this island not far from where we live, but managed to swim in to shore with Nika - very cute in his wee swimsuit and life jacket!!!!! Ben loved the rocking I think, and was quite happy in his wee chair (that I was sure was going to fly off the boat!)....went snorkling.....just so beautiful....and how many friend offer to take you and your babies! :) Some other friends then brought around some crayfish......beautful finish to the day!

Following on...
A God for kids
At church today I tried to take Nathan down to the under 5's programme but he wasn't keen. I thought "I'm not going to get stressed over this" and took him back to the main auditorium with us. He started dancing to the music and singing.....I thought wow. I don't think it was just the music, though he really does love to sing with the microphones at home. I remember as a kid I would love to hang out in Dad's office. It just felt different. Some call it 'vibes', whatever, people who pray and have a real faith are different.
Colossians 1:22 This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault."

So it's official
So it's official. I am a mum of two under-2-year-olds.
It's the weekend, and after a well, pretty non-eventful week (my highlights included taking the boys to see the donkeys and ducks at Donkey Hill today, and going for a walk on my own....a real treat)... I am totally knackered, and a bit unsure of myself in this whole mum-role! I can't do it on my own.
Colossians 1:5 The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are to your future in heaven, kept taut by hope.
& v. 28 I depend on Christ's mighty power that works within me

Back Again

So I'm joining the many thousands of people who haven't written a word over the holidays and now scrambling to try and fit in all into one post....which might not happen....actually no, it won't, I'll post photos some time soon and just write a wee bit today.
We had the most amazing holiday....I could have stayed on holiday for AGES. Best thing I think we've done in a long time together. I'll post some pictures soon....As I write Nath is "bopping" with a wee keyboard we borrowed - he may have some musical genius that he inherited from somewhere - which hasn't quite shown itself in me yet though I do dream of being very talented...yes, it will take alot more practise and a lot less rebellion (still scarred from my Singapore music teachers who made it SOOOOO boring). Anyway, he loves it and loves us to grab a SingStar mic and sing with him. Delicious to see him so confident.
Some really great things have happened. Some friends of ours are moving directly (as in they can see so much of our house its embarrassing) across from our house....been really cool to have their little girl who is close in age to Nath come over and play while they are renovating.
Our fruit trees are loaded with YUMMY plums - in an age where so many people don't even have a back yard it is pretty awesome to see these growing so well and being able to give bags of them away! Our apple trees are totally diseased, I didn't get to spray them fast enough and it really gets to me looking out and seeing all that waste! Other than that, our backyard is becoming a place where I love to be. We're building a sandpit for Nath and his friends - who would have known we live next door to a man who sells sand etc (when I mentioned getting it from a beach he was pretty horrified) and offered to bring some home. Thank God! Saves alot of effort!
And my husband is a different man. He's positive about almost EVERYTHING, and has just been wonderful to me over the break. Am praying for a very special year for him, I think he's ready for it!
Well, time for me to go, the adventures here continue!!
