So proud!

So so proud of Nathan. While we thought he would take a while, especially in a new town going to a school where he didn't know anyone....he has taken to it like a fish to water....they make learning a lot of fun and there are an awesome lot of boys there....wahoo!!!

Nathan's aspirations

"I have always wanted to be an artist"
"I'm a farmer"
"I'm an expert at looking after cats"
"I'll fix that for you, I can fix all kinds of things"
"I'm the fire chief"

and new ones added daily....

Nathan dug holes, put poles in, and "cemented the foundations" with Pegs and other dirt, very clever process!!

New room!!

Ben got given some 'Cars' decor for his room for his bday....which he loves....he has been singing about "Lightning and the King' (some of the characters from the movie) since i tucked him in. hehehehe.

Ben the Birthday Boy!

Ben has turned 3 and is potty trained as well!!! YAY to have 2 boys out of nappies. Big celebration there!!! It was his first party on his own - other years we have done combined ones...and headed to Chipmunks for all of them to run wild (I liked seeing all the Dads go down the slide hehe). Here's some pics of our awesome miracle boy....who is absolute magic....who I am so proud of....and who is such a great lil guy to have around!!

Of Mice and Me...

Mother's wisdom "Try something new every week"

Today,it was time.

I took a small step in conquering my almost- emphasize, almost - paralyzing fear of mice and rats. I actually don't find it funny at all the number of cartoons that have mice in them as cutesy characters. The thought of them makes my skin crawl and I almost feel one climbing over me....urgh....gross...anyway, hubby set the trap a few days ago....and today...instead of waiting for him to empty it...I thought....you know....I can do this...."it's dead, it's dead" she says, gagging all the way outside....thank God it was rubbish day - I threw it in the bin and ran....

Hmmph, I do feel a lot better. What is to be afraid of anyway?? ummm...well....arrrghhhhh!

As for cleaning the trap...well, we couldn't go too far in one day could we? :P
