Something new!

Voila! We were given a brand new oven....I can now:
- open the oven without the handle falling off
- time what I am cooking
- use the elements (all 4 if I wish)
- clean it easily
- cook without fear of a fire
- use any of 8 functions

Ah yes, this is true luxury, and we are very thankful. Yipee!!

Yesterday at the mall I popped in to get my nails done and young Benny had a great time too - he was so cute sitting up with me putting his hand up on the towel....wish I could have taken a photo of that, hehe....for a few minutes anyway, then the banana smoothie kept him more than distracted ;) The life of a modern mum :)

Take a tour....

One of the boys' favourite wee possies in the garden....a step close to our self-sprouting cherry tomatoes...which are doing fantastic and a great replacement now the strawberries are slowing down ... Ben is learning what NOT to eat in the garden and finding great delight at Mum's reactions :) His latest word is "look!"
A cardboard oven box provides HOURS of entertainment....it is a garage, a shop(an ice cream shop), a house, a deck, a building site....

While I was thinking about.

Christmas.... though we have never even questioned the reason for Christmas, something about having my own family and my own kids has made the Christmas story all the more real and special in my heart and head this year. The fact that someone in our own family has his birthday on Christmas Day brought alive the fact that Christmas is like a birthday celebration from when we were little. This year though, yay!!

Cause for celebration!

Yesterday we got the news that Naths will have his next (and final, we are trusting) eye operation in about 3 months. WOW. It will involve implanting an artificial lens into his right eye....but the relief I feel is amazing. No more fiddling around with contact lenses, we can work with his eyesight better as it will be continuous - rather than losing them all the time.... There are risks with this but my faith is firm - God is looking after my boy and the operation will go well....so.....for now.....I am basking in the relief my heart feels for him and looking forward all the more to holidays!!!! Almost ready to go...just packing and cleaning to do. Yipee!!

Ooooohhhhhhhh Christmas is EXCITING!

And so cute! If you have a 2 year old and a 1 year old walking around the house...which I happen to have and absolutely love....one singing softly and beautifully "Christmas is a time...Christmas is a time....Christmas is a time...to love"....so true and so super cute. And the other one clapping and grooving.

This has to be the best year yet. One thing I am celebrating, NO HOSPITAL VISITS this year!!!! Not one. Except check ups(last one tomorrow), and they don't count, not on this check list anyway. Yipee!!
